Under 26? Want to see some fantastic shows for FREE?
A Night Less Ordinary is an Arts Council England scheme in association with Metro, which will provide 618,000 free theatre tickets to anyone under 26 in more than 200 venues across England.
At Southend Theatres we have chosen to make THURSDAYS A Night Less Ordinary with shows at both the Cliffs Pavilion and Palace Theatre being available almost every Thursday. In addition we will also be supplementing Thursday nights with other, specially chosen performances also qualifying for the scheme.

To make life simple we will be listing ALL the shows that we are currently offering as A Night Less Ordinary on our website. If it's listed on the ‘A Night Less Ordinary’ section of the website, then it qualifies. If it's not listed then it doesn't qualify. It's that simple!
We shall make every effort to ensure that the list is up-to-date but there may be one or two occasions when the available tickets have been claimed so recently that we haven't yet had time to remove it from the website. If this is the case then we apologise, but the Box Office will be able to advise you.
However, at all times, if a show isn't listed then it isn't part of the scheme
